The cards have been ergonomically designed to the correct size for little hands and have rounded corners. The cards have been printed on a suitable stock and coated with a machine varnish for thereby protecting the cards and giving them a long life.

There are 5 boxes of playing cards with a maximum of 60 colourful picture cards per box. Each box contains instructions for 5 different card games that can be played in pairs or small groups i.e. rummy, snap, matching pairs etc

The sets of cards focus on all the vowel and common consonant sounds (phonemes) that are introduced between Grades 1 and 4. They include the main written spelling choices (graphe mes) for each phoneme
i.e. /e/ = ee • ea • e • ey • y.
There is a maximum of 4 words and pictures for each grapheme.
(There are a total of 19 vowel sounds in the differents packs)

Each card is beautifully illustrated in full colour and includes the written word with the targeted grapheme highlighted. The grapheme is also written at the top left hand corner of each card. (click on a box for a sample)
